Bahan-bahan yang diperlukan untuk membuat Sari muka
- Ambil 1/2 kg ketan.
- Diperlukan 700 ml santan (untuk ketan).
- Siapkan 1 gelas tepung beras.
- Diperlukan 1/2 gelas terigu.
- Siapkan 1/4 kanji.
- Siapkan Vanili.
- Diperlukan Garam.
- Siapkan Daun pandan.
- Siapkan 1/2 bungkul Gula merah.
- Diperlukan 2 gelas belimbing santan rebus.

Langkah-langkah menyiapkan Sari muka
- Rendam ketan semalaman atau beberapa jam.
- Kukus ketan sampai setengah matang seperti nasi aron angkat pindah ke wadah lain lalu kucuri santan sedikit demi sedikit sambil diaduk kalau dirasa ketan sudah pulen.
- Sisir Gula merah tuang santan tambh vanili, garam, daun pandan rebus dan diamkan suhu ruang.
- Campur tepung lalu tambhkan adonan Gula merah.
- Panaskan kukusan, siapkan loyang alasi dengan daun dan minyak ketan di tumbuk dulu sebentar lalu masukan loyang.
- Masukan ketan ke kukusan panaskan sampai panas lalu tuang Gula merah sedikit demi sedikit tiap 10 menit tuang hingga habis.
- Adona terakhir kukus 30 menit.
Seri muka is a Malaysian steamed layer cake (kuih) which consist of a glutinous rice (thai sweet rice - sticky rice) layer steamed with coconut milk and a sweet pandan custard layer to finish off. It's green layer comes from the pandan leaf, but some do add green colouring. I prefer to stick with the natural green the pandan leaf gives out once blended.
